Man Cancer Sex

When a man gets cancer, any kind of cancer, the treatments he receives may result in changes in his sexuality. From altered body image to loss of sexual desire or ability to become and stay aroused, these changes often affect his masculinity, resulting in distress and sometimes even relationship breakdown.

This book for men with cancer and their partners, describes these changes through the stories of men of all ages with different kinds of cancer. The stories of both straight and gay men are included. However this book does not stop with just the stories, it also provides evidence-based strategies to help the man and his partner resolve these issues in a sensitive and realistic manner, acknowledging that after cancer, many survivors experience a new normal of sexual functioning that is different, but not necessarily worse, than what was before.
